Remote Online Notarization Disclosure
Required disclosure for Remote Online Notarization (RON) sessions, including identity verification, recording, retention, and platform information.
What RON Is
Remote Online Notarization allows you to appear before a commissioned notary by encrypted, audio-visual technology rather than in person. RON is authorized under Nevada law and accepted in all 50 states.
Identity Verification
Identity is verified using credential analysis of your government-issued ID combined with knowledge-based authentication (KBA). You may be required to retake KBA if verification fails.
Recording & Retention
RON sessions are recorded in full. Recordings, audit trails, and notarial journals are securely retained for at least seven (7) years, or longer if required by law.
Acceptance
You are responsible for confirming with your receiving party (lender, county recorder, foreign authority, etc.) that they accept RON-notarized documents before scheduling.
Platforms
RON sessions are conducted on secure third-party platforms compliant with Nevada law. You will receive specific platform instructions in your booking confirmation.
