Travel Fee Policy
How Ross & Associates collects and applies travel fees for mobile, emergency, inspection, and out-of-area dispatch appointments.
Purpose of Travel Fees
Travel fees are separate from notarial fees. They compensate for reserved appointment time, travel time, fuel, mobile availability, after-hours availability, route dispatch, and the blocking of a scheduling window for the exclusive benefit of the client.
Paid In Advance
All mobile notary, traveling loan signing, emergency dispatch, inspection, apostille pickup/delivery, and mobile appointment travel fees must be paid in advance, prior to travel or dispatch. Payment of the travel fee is what reserves the appointment and secures the travel commitment.
Non-Refundable Once Confirmed
Once an appointment has been accepted and confirmed, the travel fee is non-refundable. If the client cancels after confirmation, if travel has begun, or if a notary or signing agent has been dispatched, the travel fee remains fully earned regardless of whether the notarial act is ultimately completed.
Notarial Fees
Notarial fees are collected at the time the notarization is completed unless otherwise arranged in writing. Statutory notarial fees for acts not performed will be waived in accordance with Nevada law; travel and dispatch fees remain payable.
Scope
This policy applies to Mobile Notary, Traveling Loan Signings, Emergency Notary Appointments, Inspection Services, Apostille Pickup & Delivery, Same-Day Appointments, After-Hours Services, and Weekend or Holiday Dispatches.
